The difference between moms and dads

Setting: Sunday mid-morning, baby napping, boys right out front, Mike and I upstairs getting ready.

Me: (turning blow dryer off and listening) "I don't hear the kids."

Mike: "Why does that always cause you such alarm and give me so much peace?"

    ha! I love it. Jeff's brother said this when they had their first child of four: "But why would we get a baby monitor? Then we'd be able to HEAR the baby.." :)
